LoMAX
Discover the world of light elements and low energy EDXRF analysis
The same optical technology used for WDS optics can be applied to your existing or new EDS, too! Our LoMAX attachable optic for EDS detectors enables your EDS to see the light elements in your sample. LoMAX increases low-energy x-ray count rates by over 10X in some cases. It may be configured to act as a selective low-pass filter for some special applications so your EDS system can spend time counting scarce soft x-rays instead of the abundant high-energy x-rays.
LoMAX safely and quickly slides over the end of your EDS detector with no risk to the detector window. It is easily installed by the user and does not interfere with high-energy x-ray analysis. The optic itself slides out and can be replaced with a standard collimator insert in seconds, if needed.
