Micro-WDS: Low Energy Micro-Volume WDS for SEM:
Parallax offers HEXS, our patented stand-alone parallel-beam WDS that is ideal for retrofits and new installations on most ports 1” and larger. The best spatial resolution for micron-size particle and area analysis, or effective thin film profiling, is only obtained using low KV and low energy. Our patented advanced x-ray optics provide extreme sensitivity to low energy x-rays which forms the unique basis for high spatial resolution micro-analysis. Focusing, concentrating, collimating, parallelizing, and detecting x-rays is the expertise of Parallax Research. We provide x-ray optics for a variety of x-ray applications including custom designs. In addition, we’ve developed our own unique proportional counters for use in x-ray microanalysis and XRF. Parallax also offers a unique ‘thin’ gate valve for interfacing microanalysis instruments to SEM and other instrument column platforms.
